National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), under Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training is responsible for National Policies, Plans, Strategies & Qualifications Framework for TVET Skills sector; Designing & Implementing skill training programs to bridge demand-supply gap; Conducting Accreditation, Registration, Certification, Developing skill standards & curricula; Strengthening TVET sector through public-private partnership & Industrial Engagements and Maintaining databanks of skilled youth for their placement in industry. NAVTTC is seeking an experienced Legal Consultant / Expert on short term basis for a period of 89 days (extendable) subject to satisfactory performance on per day remuneration basis with a distinguished track record in leading public and private positions at the senior level.

Minimum qualification |
16 years of education from any recognized
university preferably Master’s degree in Law having strong knowledge of
contract law, business law, and relevant regulatory frameworks. |
Experience |
The Legal Expert having ample experience of at
least 10 years for providing legal guidance and support throughout the
project lifecycle. The individual having legal expertise with project
management skills to ensure that projects are executed in compliance with
relevant laws, regulations, and contractual obligations. He / she will act as
a bridge between project teams and project stakeholders to mitigate legal
risks, resolve legal issues, and maintain project timelines. He / she will
also be required to handle day to day legal issues and matters of NAVTTC
regarding Court cases, HR, legal and financial matters within his / her
jurisdiction of law |

IT based activity – Assignment based temporary services to be engaged for
maximum of 89 days (extendable). The services to be compensated through per
day remuneration model provided in Annexure-V, Schedule of Charges for
Short-term, medium term and long term expert services, consultancy charges

Job Descriptions |
Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice
to NAVTTC on a wide range of legal matters, including contracts, regulatory
compliance, employment law, intellectual property, litigation, and more. Interpret and apply laws,
statutes, and regulations to specific situations or cases. Contract Review and
Negotiation: Review, draft, and negotiate
contracts and agreements to protect the interests of the organization and
ensure legal compliance. Advise on contractual terms
and potential risks associated with specific business arrangements. Compliance and Risk
Management: Monitor changes in laws and
regulations that may impact the organization and ensure compliance with legal
requirements. Assess potential legal risks
and develop strategies to mitigate them. Litigation and
Dispute Resolution: Represent the organization in
legal proceedings, including court appearances and negotiations. Collaborate with external
legal counsel to handle complex litigation matters, if required. Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal
research to support cases, provide recommendations, and stay updated on legal
developments. Analyze legal precedents and
case law to strengthen arguments and strategies. Policy Development: Assist in the development and
implementation of company policies and procedures that align with legal
requirements and best practices. Training and
Education: Conduct training sessions and
workshops for employees or clients to enhance their understanding of legal
matters and compliance requirements. Due Diligence: Perform legal due diligence
in mergers, acquisitions, or other business transactions to assess potential
legal risks and liabilities. Or any other function /
assignment assigned by the authority related to HR, Financial, legal matters
outside the scope of this program. |
