Timergara the headquarter of district Dir (lower), lies 180 Km north from Peshawar, with its gigantic and gorgeous mountains, ever-flowing fountains and rills and fruit Orchids. Timergara presents captivating Beauty of nature. Unlike big cities, here we find clean and fresh & water free from pollution. The people of this district have an immense passion for knowledge but due of lack of facilities; they have to go to other parts of the country to quench their in thirst for knowledge. In order to fulfill the educational requirements of the people of this area, The Government of Pakistan established this college at Timergara in 1991. Initially it was a nontechnical college having only one technology, Electronics in 2002, as the great demand of the people of this area, electrical technology was also started. Now the College is well established & has been upgraded to Govt College of technology, having Electronic Tech, Electrical Tech (Morning+Evening), Civil Technology (Morning+Evening) Telecommunication &Mechanical technology technology in separate blocks. Apart from the above, a beautiful and a Specious building for bachelor of technology course has recently been constructed in front of main Building.
